Canyon Creek’s high school ministry invites freshman through seniors to learn about developing a relationship with God. Activities emphasize fun and just hanging out with friends, but also provide opportunities to discover who God is and the difference He can make in everyday life.

Like all youth ministries at Canyon Creek, our goal is to help students graduate from high school with an understanding that God loves them and desires to have a relationship with them.
Sunday Morning Bible Study
High school students meet on Sunday morning for Bible Study during the sermon time at the 10:00 AM service. It is an opportunity to really learn what is in the Bible and ask serious questions about what the text has to say. Students may also take Sunday mornings to minister to our younger kids in the Nursery and Discoveryland program.
The Refuge — Tuesday Nights
Each Tuesday night during the school year, our high school students get together from 7:00 to 9:00 for fellowship and talk about things that are impacting their lives on campus.
They play games, share in small groups, worship and listen to speakers. The Refuge provides a place where young people can learn and know what it means to be a Christian on today's high school campuses. Encourage your student to bring a friend.
Quarterly Trips
Each quarter our high school youth group, “The Refuge,” takes an opportunity to pull away from our regular schedule and spend time with each other outside of San Ramon. These are opportunities for the students and their leaders to grow closer to each other and in their relationship with God.

In early December they go to a Winter Weekend at Mount Hermon’s Ponderosa Lodge. In the spring they journey to Mexico for a week-long service project building homes for those in need. In the summer they enjoy a variety of activities, including beach trips and boating.
Spring Mission Trips
One of the most anticipated events of the year is the Mission Trip during spring break. As we have done for many years, we will go to Mexico to build homes for families that are in desperate need of shelter. We work with Amor Ministries to find the families. However Canyon Creek high school youth organize the trip. Anyone in high school or beyond is invited to join us. Read more about the Mission to Mexico 2010.
The trip provides many opportunities to share the love of Jesus with others, as well as to perform useful service to a community in need. If special situations arise, like the 2006 Hurricane Katrina disaster, we will organize special trips to meet those needs and provide opportunities for our church family to get involved.
