Once again, Canyon Creek Church will send a large group of students and adult leaders to Mexico during spring break to build homes for families.
Amor Ministries helps find the families, coordinates the land purchases, and provides our building materials. However Canyon Creek high school youth organize the trip, and each one must raise about $750 in order to go. This year's trip takes place April 4-10.
If you are a high school student participating in this trip, we encourage you to send support letters requesting donations from your friends and family. Please download this fundraising letter template and include a contribution form in each letter you send.
It takes the support of the whole church to make this trip happen each year. Stop by the Mission Trip table after church on Sunday if you can loan tools to the team. Here are other important ways you can take part.
Students will come to your home on March 20 to do all those jobs you have been putting off--gardening, window-washing, pulling weeds, clean-ups big and small. The workers are many and willing! Sign up at the M2M table any Sunday after services.
Eat at the San Ramon Chevy's any time on Sunday, March 21st. They will donate 25% of the proceeds to the trip. You must present a flyer at the time of your order.
Pray for safety, great weather, good health, close fellowship among the students and leaders, and for participants to feel God's will being done through their hands and hearts.
Mark your calendar now. We need as many hands as we can get to help the crew returning from Mexico on Saturday, April 10, to unload, clean, and put away supplies and equipment. Nothing makes this hard-working crew happier than arriving in our parking lot and seeing wide-awake and full-of-energy people there to welcome them back and help them unload. Please arrive at 2 PM.
Come out to a Potluck Dessert on Sunday April 18, to hear stories and see pictures of the trip. Bring the whole family! Your younger students will begin counting the months until they are old enough to take part in this life-changing experience.
