MISSION TO MEXICO 2009

Raising walls and hopeMore than 70 students and adult leaders will travel to Tecate, Mexico, during spring break this year to build homes for families who are in desparate need of shelter.

Amor Ministries helps find the families, coordinates the land purchases and provides our building materials. However Canyon Creek high school youth organize the trip, and each one must raise about $800 in order to go. This year's trip takes place April 5-11.

How You Can Get Involved
It takes the support of the entire congregation to make this trip happen each year. Here are important ways you can take part.

Prayer Support
Pray for safety, great weather, good health, close fellowship among the students and leaders, and for participants to feel God's will being done through their hands and hearts. If you would like to pray for a specific person during the trip, pick up a prayer card at the MIssion Trip table.

Unloading Party - April 11
We need as many hands as we can get to help the crew returning from Mexico on Saturday, April 11, to unload, clean and put away supplies and equipment. Nothing makes this hard-working crew happier than arriving in our parking lot and seeing wide-awake and full-of-energy people there to welcome them back and help them unload. Please arrive at 2 PM. If you have any questions or want to volunteer, please contact Brian Morlan.

Building homes and sharing simple giftsShare the Experience - April 19
Come out to a Potluck Dessert on Sunday April 19, to hear first-hand stories and see pictures of the trip. Bring the whole family! Your younger students will begin counting the months until they are old enough to take part in this life-changing experience.
